At United Veterans Hub, Veteran Directed Care (VDC) empowers Veterans to remain safely and independently in their own homes while directing the care and services that best fit their needs and lifestyle. Through the support of the VA and a dedicated VDC team, eligible Veterans receive a personalized monthly budget and guidance to hire caregivers, purchase approved services, and create a care plan centered around their goals, preferences, and independence. VDC offers a flexible, person-centered alternative to traditional care, helping Veterans maintain dignity, choice, and quality of life at home.
Interested in Veteran Directed Care? Veterans who would like to learn more about the program should speak with their VA doctor, social worker, or care team to discuss eligibility and whether VDC may be a good fit for their needs. Once a referral is made through the VA, our team will guide Veterans and their families through the enrollment process, care planning, and ongoing support every step of the way.
